Once known as Hotel Sun Sun. Hotel S is a boutique  hotel with a rich history having been built around 1949. The Hotel situated in the heart of the prosperous old  town of Macau. It is said that this was the place where the Portuguese first set foot in Macau. 

In the year 1981, Indiana Jones, one of the pioneering  Hollywood adventure films directed by world-renowned Mr. Steven Allan Spielberg, was filmed in the hotel’s  OBI-Wan Restaurant, featuring one of the most  thrilling scenes in which the protagonist escapes from  this restaurant. Hotel S uses art as its main concept  (cultural and creative) and also places art as an  element in the hotel's space, facilities, equipment and  services; enhancing our guest's art and cultural journey . Hotel S uses this specific artistic expressive ability to  design an intricate artistic journey, realizing that guest's cultural experience is the quintessence of Hotel S.

Pursuant to the stipulations of Article 61 of Law No.16/2021, the hotel is going to send the personal data and accommodation information of guests who are non-residents of Macao and who do not hold a "Non-resident Worker's Identification Card" (commonly known as "Blue Card") or "Special Stay Permit", as well as accompanying guests aged 16 above, to the Public Security Police Force.

if the above-mentioned persons refuse to provide or object to the processing of personal data and accommoda- tion information. the hotel will use this as a valid reason for refusing to provide them with accommodation and access to the facilities.

The  hotel hosts annual events with local artists and  cooperates with art institutions, inviting artists to create hotel-related artworks. These  collaborative artworks are exemplified as limited  edition paintings, bronze statues or any other  form of art as decorations that are displayed on  the hotel premises so that hotel guests can fully  experience and interact with the artistic  atmosphere of the hotel.
